This category supports Nigerian students facing financial difficulties that threaten their academic progress at public universities. The scholarship awards up to Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (NGN 350,000) annually for two academic sessions, renewable in the second year subject to continued academic excellence.
Twelve undergraduate scholarships will be awarded in 2026.
Final-year secondary students · Osun State · WAEC registration fees
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Scholarship supports academically exceptional final-year secondary students who face financial challenges that may prevent them from registering for their exit examination. By covering the cost of this critical exam, the scholarship ensures that financial hardship does not limit a student's chance of transitioning into higher education.
This scholarship will primarily be awarded to students in Osun State, Mr. Femi Bewaji's state of origin.
Up to NGN 500,000/year · 5 places · Talent Mine Academy · 3 years
In 2026, the Femi Bewaji Foundation will provide fully funded education for five secondary school children from low-income families at Talent Mine Academy — a youth-led nonprofit institution committed to providing twelve years of high-quality free education to underserved children.
The Academy combines academic excellence with life skills, leadership development, and problem-solving training. Each child will be awarded up to Five Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 500,000) annually for three years of fully funded education.
Benefitting students are selected and recommended for the award by the school's management. There is no open application for this category.
Applications for the Special Award are not open to the public. Students are identified and nominated directly by Talent Mine Academy.
The Foundation's selection framework ensures fair representation across regions and prioritises students with the highest need and academic potential.
The Foundation makes an open call for applications from eligible candidates. All undergraduate scholarship applications must be submitted online via this website. Applications for the WAEC and Special Award may be submitted through designated means, including through participating schools. Incomplete applications or those with invalid supporting documents will not be reviewed.
All valid applications are reviewed by the selection panel, led by the program consultant. Applications are assessed and scored against a published scorecard covering academic performance, financial need, and supporting documentation.
Up to 50 top-ranked applicants are invited for a virtual interview with the selection committee. Interviews are held via Google Meet with three interviewers per applicant and are assessed using a structured interview scorecard.
Final selection is made based on interview results. All interviewed applicants are notified of the outcome in writing. The Foundation does not keep applications on a waiting list across cycles.
